Glenn Innes, Pastor
Glenn, his wife Karin and daughter Zoë arrived in Portobello in the summer of 2018 after 10 years in Aberdeen where Glenn was involved in church planting. Prior to that they were in Vancouver, Canada where Glenn did his theological studies at Regent College. Glenn has a passion for mission and for the local church. Most particularly he wants to see those two things co-exist as God’s people begin to join God on mission in this world. Glenn loves spending time with his family, riding his motorbike and following the fortunes of Aberdeen FC.
Archie Catchpole, Community Outreach Worker
Archie never expected to be a professional cow (ish: cow = community outreach worker). Before moving to Edinburgh, Archie and his wife, Rebecca, lived in London. Archie studied Theology at London School of Theology and spent a year serving the London Baptists and Mill Hill East Church. Two things excite Archie the most: God’s re-creative work in the world, and seeing others engage with this re-creation. Beyond this, Archie loves football, running, reading, and stopping Angus (his cat) from attacking houseplants.
Leadership Team
Alongside our Pastor, our church is led by a group of leaders with various responsibilities for the life of the church. These people are recognised and elected periodically by the church and serve as Trustees of Portobello Baptist Church.
